Dominic Griffith has updated us on the latest fantastic trophy heads that the new BASC service has measured in conjunction with Sporting Rifle.
The new initiative appears to be taking off rapidly – on seeing the latest batch of heads, Dominic’s advice to the Sporting Rifle team was ‘Order more medals!’
Among the pick of the bunch this month was R Waller’s wonderful bizarre silver medal roe from Hampshire, and A Brunel’s gold head, also from Hampshire, which came close to being the first platinum roe head the service had measured.
There was a trio of trophies for D Bieny, who took a platinum muntjac with one antler measuring 17cm, and two multi-point silver medal roe – all from Berkshire.
