There was success for shooting in the European elections, after most of the UK’s new MEPs pledged their support for shooting.
When contacted by shooters, 39 MEPs said they supported shooting – while just three said they opposed it. There are 74 MEPs overall – making a majority for shooting.
This comes after BASC set up a dedicated website to help shooters make their views known. BASC’s Christopher Graffius said there would be a similar site for the general elections in 2015.
