Sporting Rifle’s Save the rhino auction closes!

Sporting Rifle’s 2014-2015 auction to raise funds for Save the Rhino has now officially closed.

Congratulations to all our high bidders! We will be getting in touch with the winners over the next few days to confirm receipt of the lots.

We’d like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who placed bids: you raised an amazing £13,171 that will go directly to equipping anti-poaching patrols on the ground at Big Game Parks in Swaziland, and its three constituent reserves: Hlane, Miliwane and Mkhaya.

Rhino protection is a dangerous job: more than 1,000 rangers have died on anti-poaching duty in sub-Saharan Africa over the last decade, and the money we raise makes their lives out in the wilderness safer and easier. It equips rangers with essential equipment such as hydration packs and radios, and helps establish base camps in the bush to extend the time they can spend safely out on patrol. Since 2010 Sporting Rifle has raised over £40,000 for Save the Rhino, and no handling or administration fees are deducted – every penny goes straight to where it’s needed.

Thank you.
