The Northern Shooting Show is back for it’s fourth year on 11th/12th May and will once again be held at the Yorkshire Event Centre, which is perfectly placed just off the A1 to the east of the beautiful town of Harrogate.

Major manufacturers and distributors this year include Blaser Sporting, CSW,  Edgar Brothers, Leica, Raytrade, Ruag Ammotec, Scott Country International, Thomas Jacks and Viking Arms who will be bringing a huge array of rifle brands including Bergara, Blaser, Haenel, Mauser, Merkel, Remington, Tikka, Sako and  Sauer. 

They are also taking the opportunity to follow up their European trade launch with UK launches to the general public at the show ,so there will be plenty of guns and optics never seen before by the UK public, most available to buy at the show. Last years show saw over fifty UK product launches and there’s expected to be more at the show in May.

Optics brands at the show include Hawke, Kahles, Meopta, Minox, Leica, Leupold, Schmidt and Bender, Swarovski, Vortex,  Zeiss and at the show you can actually try out many of them on viewing platforms looking across the showground allowing you to take out the risk of what is usually a big investment.

The experiential element of the show really is a unique factor that helps make it so successful. There’s also all the major players in the night vision and thermal world with some exciting UK launches promised.

Smaller specialist companies are not left out with Best Fox Call, Bolt Open Classis, By Sword and Musket, Oceania Defence, Merseyside Armoury, Tier One, Toms Targets and many more attending, together with rifle builders, historic arms, ammunition, moderators and reloading components as well as specialist clothing retailers, hearing and eye protection and every type of accessory available.

The Viking Arms team will also be launching their Ballistics Lab with their pro staff experts on hand to advise you on your ammunition choice and use so if you’ve got a problem with yours make sure you pay them a visit.

If long range shooting is your thing then the Fifty cal club will be on hand to advise you and extreme long range experts Hammer Pair have some exciting UK launches waiting for you. 

Double Deuce will once again be running a 22 range so you can get your hands on all the latest black rifles and try them out.

The Deer Focus Area proved hugely successful last year with talks and demonstrations on everything deer stalking related including a gralloching masterclass from Cai Ap Bryn with venison kebabs being served up for lunch.

The Pace Brothers, Darryl and Byron were on hand too to chat and advise about everything hunting related along with safari outfitters if you want to go further than the UK.

A whole host of retailers are at the show with new and used guns at every budget so you can buy at the show and with ten police forces present, many offering variations on the day, you’ll probably be able to take home your purchase.
