There’s been a landmark ruling in the USA as the state of Virginia has passed legislation that will allow hunting on Sundays.
The state senate passed the repeal of the old Blue Law, preventing Sunday hunting, by a margin of 28 to 11. Hunting can now take place on private land during the designated seasons by hunters with the written permission of landowners.
NSSF senior vice president Lawrence Keane said: “Today’s Senate vote is a real accomplishment for sportsmen in Virginia, but it is equally a victory for the economy of the Commonwealth that will see a more than $120m annual direct benefit as a result of hunters going afield on Sundays.”
