Merkel has opened a new showroom of sporting rifles and shotguns at W Horton & Sons on Loveday Street in Birmingham’s historical Gun Quarter.
The German gunmaker’s flagship RX Helix straight-pull takedown rifle will be known to many, but there far more delights on offer in the Merkel gallery, including Stutzen rifles, drillings and the 141 double rifle in several guises.
There’s free gunfitting available on many of the top-end guns, and a number of bespoke options that go beyond what you get from most off-the-shelf rifles.
