Great British Shooting Awards winner and New Zealand based cult clothing brand Swazi unveils its newest addition to their hardwearing outdoor apparel line-up with the Checkmate anorak.
The standout garment is made using the most durable fabric Swazi has ever produced in their Levin-based factory, nestled under the Tararua Hills.
With both a men’s and ladies’ version available, the anorak is made from woven polyester and yarn that has been dyed then brushed, leaving it very soft to the touch. This anorak is made for hunting and exploring but likewise would not look out of place on the side of the pitch or around the farm.
Fully waterproof, its long-scalloped back provides extra protection when seated, plus the addition of a structured hood and storm-proof cuffs ensure you are fit for any adventure, no matter what weather is thrown at you.
Featuring a radio chest pocket and large front cagoule-style pocket, accessed by three zipped entry points, it is finished off with the Swazi logo as a seal of approval.

Swazi founder and creative director, Davey Hughes, said: “This anorak is different, bold and unique, it’s pattern is unlike anything else in our range. Named for its chequered finish, we added a touch of Kiwi in the title with the phrase ‘mate’ – one of our country’s most commonly-used slang words.
“The feedback we received during our testing phase was extremely encouraging, so much so that we can’t wait for the feedback from all the hunters wearing this garment in the months to come.”
Found 25 years ago by Davey Hughs, outdoor clothing brand Swazi was established when it’s Hughs noticed a lack of outdoor clothing available in the country.

A winner of the Great British Shooting Awards’ Shooting Apparel of the Year award, the company endorses conservation work and endeavours to educate younger generations about hunting ethically and to encourage participation in outdoor activities.
