The British Deer Society has formed a new partnership with Savage rifles’ UK distributor Edgar Brothers.
The arrangement will see the BDS use Savage rifles and Hornady ammo as its official deer stalking equipment.
Dave Goffin, the BDS’s training manager, said: “We are delighted to announce the Savage Axis as the official rifle of the BDS. With its reliable action, crisp trigger and inherent accuracy, the BDS considers the Savage Axis a superb rifle for deer stalking and all training aspects with which the society is involved.”
Edgar Brothers’ managing director Derek Edgar said he was pleased that the rifle had been given such huge support by the well-respected BDS, describing the partnership as “a significant milestone in the gun’s history.”
