Ammunition manufacturer Hornady has necked down the .22 Hornet to .17 calibre, creating the .17 Hornet. It’s an economical round – costing less than a .223 Rem or .17 Fireball – that puts out a 20-grain V-Max round with a comparable trajectory to a 55-grain .223 Rem but with the felt recoil of a .22WMR. Distributor Edgar Brothers will soon be bringing the .17 Hornet to the UK – contact your local stockist for details and pricing.
