A scratchproof special coating is bonded onto the leather upper, giving the boot a long lifespan with intermittent treatment using leather cream on the most worn parts. It also has a Sympatex waterproof lining with a layer of thinsulate, yet remains breathable due to a removable foam footbed. The boot comes with spare laces and its high leg design supports the ankle, preventing spraining or jarring.
