BASC has voiced concerns with the current general licensing system, suggesting that a simplified set of regulations would be more appropriate.
“Complicated and unnecessarily bureaucratic” – that’s how BASC has described the current general licensing system.
Chief executive Richard Ali criticised the licenses, indicating the need for a simpler approach. He said that the licenses should be “stripped back, short and straightforward”. Natural England’s consultation on General and Class Licences closes on 19 May at 5:00pm.
Should you wish to voice your own opinion, the consultation form can be found here, or on the Natural England website.
