BASC looks for Swift replacement

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation has announced it is looking for a new chief executive to take over after John Swift’s retirement, planned for June this year.

BASC Chairman Robert Irvine said: “The appointment of a new chief executive to build on the successes of BASC under the leadership of John Swift will be a key moment for the association. This post provides both a remarkable challenge and an opportunity to make an important contribution to the future of shooting.”

The successful candidate will join the team in early 2013, with time allowed for a handover, and will officially start at the AGM in June 2013.

Applications for the position must be received by 18 May 2012, and more information on the post can be found at www.fwbltd.com/recruitment/basc.
